180DC Amsterdam's Board of Directors changes every year. You could be on the next one!
Please note that in order to qualify for a board position, you have to:

Be a student
-
Be physically present in Amsterdam for the duration of the academic year

Be willing and able to dedicate a minimum of 10 hours per week to 180DC

What does each position entail?
Below you will find a comprehensive overview of the responsibilities of each position.
President
-
Legally and formally represents the branch
-
Is registered with the KVK & signs all legal documents
-
Sets overall goals and strategies for the branch steers all processes toward achievement of branch goals

Leads weekly board meetings
-
Manages emergencies and steps in if anyone needs help
-
Regularly checks in with all departments
-
Approves all content (legal documents, emails, proposals, marketing schedules…)

Communicates with the GLT
-
Plans onboarding and board handover (together with Human Resources Director)
Vice President
-
Makes agendas and minutes for board meetings
-
Is the gatekeeper of the Amsterdam email account, forwarding the emails to the relevant board members and answering simple queries
-
Makes internal content about Branch functions and operations (Team Lead and consultant guides, internal announcements, value proposals…)

Is the point of contact for other 180DC branches
-
Make budget for year and for events (together with President & Operations Director)

Steps in if anyone needs help and during emergencies
Human Resources Director

Plans recruitment

Is approachable to consultants and board members

Ensures a safe and welcoming environment

Collects consultant feedback
-
Assigns the buddy groups
-
Keeps track of attendance + receives notifications about absences

Handles misconduct and terminations (with President)

Organizes social events
-
Is in charge of Alumni management
Two Consulting Directors

Oversee all consulting projects
-
Monitor project progress & ensure adherence to deadlines and client expectations

Reach out to potential clients in the initiation of the project cycles to convert them into our clients

Conduct client meetings, presentations, & status updates.

Address client feedback and concerns

Provide guidance and support to teams to ensure their professional growth and development.

Mentor team members

Support the Branch Development Director in planning the training week

Potentially give trainings if needed
Branch Development Director

Researches partnerships, sponsorships, and grants

Reaches out to potential partners and sponsors

Be the primary point of contact for partners, sponsors, etc.

Organizes and attends meetings with potential and current partners and sponsors

Reaches out to & is the contact point for trainers (in collaboration with Consulting Directors)
Communications Director

Makes content calendar

Creates the content

Maintains and updates website

Posts + manages community on LI and IG

Prepares messages for alumni

Preserves brand identity

Markets recruitment and events

Takes pictures during events
Operations Director

Sets up & updates our professional platforms

Helps organize recruitment

Handles subscriptions, budget requests, payments, client payments

Makes sure all documents are up to date & pre-prepares all legal documents

Helps preparing events
-
If necessary, prepares user guidelines

Works closely in collaboration with all other board members

Have an interview with the new President. This way you can make sure that you will work well together.

Accepted for the position? Congratulations! You can expect an onboarding day and a 1-on-1 with your predecessor.
